EURITAS adopts position paper on “Foundations of Cloud Services for Public Administrations”

In October 2022 Euritas has published its position paper “Foundations of Cloud Services for Public Administrations”.
Cloud computing is an area that public administrations cannot and should not ignore, since it offers great potential for efficient digital processes and convenient services for citizens. Therefore, in this position paper Euritas analyses the crucial prerequisites for public entities to use these services securely, providing sovereignty and in compliance with all data protection requirements.
Euritas proposes a network of cloud infrastructures for public administrations in the EU and EFTA, built and maintained by the public ICT service providers. Furthermore, lock-in effects have to be prevented by reducing the dependency from single providers.
