Office of the Government Chief Information Officer

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) is a division of DPENDR that acts as the strategic advisor to Government on digital government. OGCIO plays a leadership role in digital service delivery and innovation initiatives working in collaboration with and providing advice to Government Departments and agencies across the Civil and Public Service.

The OGCIO leads on ICT/ digital /data-related strategy developments and is responsible for the formulation of policy and strategy for the wider public service. 

OGCIO provides Digital/ICT services for customers in the public service and acts as technical implementation and delivery partner to the wider Civil and Public Service through its Government as a Platform and Build to Share suite of services including Government Networks, national low latency platform, managed desktop, government private cloud, applications suite and the gov.ie and Ireland.ie websites.
