Dataport is the IT service provider for public administrations in Germany. As a partner in all digitization projects, the company accompanies the public sector from the initial idea to secure operation. Dataport provides the administration with all the IT services it needs to do its job. This includes the operation of infrastructures such as data centers, networks and clients as well as the development and operation of software.

In addition, the company offers comprehensive services to the public sector, ranging from IT procurement and training to project management and consulting. As an institution under public law with headquarters in Altenholz near Kiel, Dataport is supported by the states of Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Schleswig-Holstein as well as the municipal IT network Schleswig-Holstein.

Dataport has offices in Hamburg, Rostock, Bremen, Lüneburg, Magdeburg, Halle and Potsdam. The company has 5,000 employees and generated sales of 1.18 billion euros in 2022.
