TOOP was presented during the 2nd Innovation Lab Symposium in Austria
On the 18th of January 2018, the 2nd Innovation Lab Symposium took place at the Danube University Krems. This event was held by the GovLabAustria, a joint innovation lab for the public sector, founded by the Danube University Krems and the Federal Ministry for the Civil Service and Sport in Austria. On this symposium, the GovLabAustria presented innovative projects and initiatives regarding citizen involvement and engagement as well as research projects towards the development of technology and innovation in the aforementioned areas. One of the presented projects was “The Once-Only Principle Project (TOOP)”. Within a fruitful workshop, participants from academia, industry, public administration, and civil society discussed the current situation of the “Once-Only Principle” in Austria and throughout the European Union. The workshop lead by Dr. Thomas Lampoltshammer (Danube University Krems) and Mag. Carl-Markus Piswanger (Austrian Federal Computing Center) revealed interesting and promising results regarding the current status quo, new application areas of OOP, as well insights towards the concept of a pan-European center of Trust for data exchange between European public administrations.
