APIS IT marked 55 years of operation with opening of Shared Services Centre for Croatian public administration

APIS IT, leading IT services provider for the Croatian public administration, marked 55 years of operation in November with opening of the Shared Services Centre – the greatest infrastructure project in Croatian public administration.

The project, which is government ‘cloud’ IT infrastructure, will combine an enormous quantity of government data and facilitate data management with the ultimate goal of enabling the state to function without paper, which should lead to significant savings. At the opening ceremony it was underscored that 85% of the project’s value is being financed from the European Regional Development Fund and that by the end of the project, in 2023, 300 state administration institutions will have been encompassed. Along with the infrastructure services it provides, the CDU represents digital work stations for 110.000 civil servants in state administration who will have access to the CDU. The Shared Services Centre was opened by the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and Minister of Public Administration Ivan Malenica.

Congratulating APIS IT on its 55 years of work, Prime Minister Plenković underscored that this was a big infrastructure project for the state because digitisation and digital transformation was important for economic growth and better services for citizens.

Thanking all APIS IT customers for the 55 years of cooperation and trust, CEO Saša Bilić said that business anniversary and start of CDU operations marked two important milestones for this strategic company that would, after successful business and technology consolidation, remain trusted partner of Croatian public administration.
